THE ROLE

Reporting to:    Global Marketing Communications Director

Job Role / Broad Overview

Working in an energetic and fast moving Marketing team, you will provide a supporting and advisory role for the team on virtually all aspect of online marketing. The role focuses on the marketing aspects of the web and supports our E-Comms strategy. It is a diverse role with the successful candidate providing support on content, information architecture, SEO, Web Analytics, Domain name administration, localised web sites and more.

 Although this is a non-technical role, knowledge of web technology, content management and the principles of world class web design and coding will be a definite advantage.

 Strong organisation and prioritisation skills are essential. You will demonstrate a high degree of professionalism, a strong service oriented approach to the role and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

 
Job Duties and Responsibilities

Content Ownership and updating - Responsibility for being first point of contact for content questions from around the company and assisting with keeping content across all web sites up to date. Working with Product Management and Marketing group with suggestions on how to create more effective and relevant content. Assisting content authors and editors with creating content and pages using our Web Content Management System (Tridion).       

Information Architecture - Assisting content authors to provide best practices development of easy to navigate content structure.

Search Engine Optimisation - Working with our SEO Agency to measure search engine rankings and work with marketing groups to ensure effectiveness of our SEO program to drive increasing traffic volumes to our web site.

Web Analytics Analysis - Provide analysis of web stats to evaluate effectiveness of web sites, content, campaigns etc and advise on changes to increase effectiveness

Domain Name Administration – Working with our domain name agency and legal department to ensure the effective purchasing of appropriate domain names and the management of our existing global domain name portfolio.

Banner Advertising – Assisting in the co-ordination of setting up and running banner advertising campaigns to help drive traffic to. Co-ordinate our Google AdWords advertising campaigns.

Web Content Localisation Support - Supporting Countries in posting content for local web sites and advising them how to get the most from their local on-line presence.

Web Creative – Work with our various creative agencies in the provision of web creative and graphics. Ideally you will be able to assist in simple graphic design and image manipulation or have the desire to learn.


THE CANDIDATE DUTIES (the successful candidate must have proven experience in these areas)

 

Requirements/Experience

  • In-depth understanding of online marketing from all aspects.
  • Proven success in website implementation and content management
  • Understanding of E-comms.
  • Knowledge of Tridion a distinct advantage although training can be provided.
  • Understanding of HTML, other web languages and use of PhotoShop or similar useful although not essential
  • Ability to prioritise and multitask
